I'm attaching the Xorg.0.log that you included in the description. It's easier to read the bug reports when the logs are attached separately.
Could you also attach: - the output of `lspci -vvnn` - /var/log/xorg.conf ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20901808/Xorg.0.log.txt ** Description changed: I would like to use my new eee box as a media player (mythtv) with my LCD projector. At this moment I have a lot of trouble getting it to work with Ubuntu 8.10 (or Mythbuntu for that matter). Normally, I would be able to google my way out of this, but the problem seems unique to the specific hardware combination I have and I found no help on any fora at all. Here is the hardware: - Asus Eee Box B202 - Panasonic PT-AE500E What are the symptoms: 1 I get the Bios screen 2 I get the Ubuntu CD install menu 3 I get the Ubuntu Splash screen 4 Then the screen goes black and nothing happens. The system can be pinged and responds to ctrl-alt-del so I think it just runs but has trouble displaying an X screen. ctrl-alt-F1/2/3/etc does NOT give me a text console either btw. What did I try: - Tried safe graphics mode: Same as above, but at point 4 screen loses sync instead of going black - Tried vga=771 at grub prompt: Display loses sync. Blue screen. - I connected a standard lcd monitor and it installed without as much as a hitch. However, when I connect the system to the projector again, the system will start, X will start but the screen loses sync. - SSH'ed into the box, tried several settings and drivers (vesa) but screen stays either black or loses sync. - Stopped gdm, started X by hand with "startx" and it seems to run (but loses sync). Hopefully someone can help me with this...
