The same happens with me. The figure window freezes after been displayed
for a couple of seconds. I discovered it in octave first, then confirmed
that it happens in gnuplot also (ubuntu 8.10, ibex, i386). Everything
used to work fine 2 weeks ago, might be related to some recent system
update?
