Hi All,
I have installed Intrepid several times with the same result, I simply
have less controls for my volume with alsamixergui (I have one control,
where as before (with hardy) I had at least 4 or 5. I have an Inspiron
9400 with a 4.1 system (built in, four speakers one mini sub underneath
the laptop). The system is solid and before alsamixer would allow me to
control each speaker independently also the sub underneath so I could
get a deeper sound.
I haven't tried installing Jaunty yet, I will try in the next few days
and can say if the problem is still there. I have included two images,
one is an alsamixergui image that I found on google but it looks very
similar to what mine used to look like, the other one is the one I
currently have which is only one control....which is disappointing when
I have a decent laptop sound system to make it worth wild to have more
than one control.
