Hi Guys,
Can this be reproduced? Is this important? I would like to see it
fixed, or a work around or how I can help. But if this really doesn't
have the priority, nor the reproducablility, say so and marked as
closed.
thanks
Chris
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: gnome
the problem is that the title bar doesn't always get properly displayed
on the active window (redrawn?) when switching between windows. this
doesn't seem to be dependent on a particular application. i have seen
this on firefox, rhythmbox and gnome terminal.
when switching between different windows using the mouse, sometimes the
active window title bar seems to be "inactive", usually this is
lightgray sometimes with a darker gray line at the very top (see
screenshot). If i put my cursor over the title bar (well over the
maximize, minimize and close buttons) the titlebar will be properly
displayed/redrawn - well until move the cursor back down into the actual
window, at that point the title bar goes gray again.
recreating.
open up a few applications that are fairly small (ie allows windows to
overlap) and move the cursor from window to window by clicking on them.
Sometimes simply click on the desktop itself. After doing this for a short
time, the active window will have this as the titlebar.
On the screenshot, the active window is the gnome terminal in the lower
right corner.
This issue appears to be similar to that one by someone else as item
306306. I don't think that this is dependent on the graphics card, but
i also have a Nvidia card (GeForceGo 7600)
my machine
I initially installed 8.04 and then at a later date (mid november i
think) i upgraded to 8.10.
