SPIM 7.3 was removed from Debian and thus Ubuntu due to lack of
maintainer. I've just spoken to upstream, and the developer said that
he released 7.4 last month, and the reason there were no releases for 2
years was that there were no bugs reported in 2 years. 1 of Ubuntu's 2
bugs for spim is "it's not in Intrepid," and I've yet to find a bug in
it, so that sounds about right.
What Ben mentioned was (I think, based on the Changelog) fixed in the
new release.
I would be willing to [try to] maintain this package.
