The website I mentioned as example needs a media player plugin that can play .asf files.
I installed the mplayer firefox plugin (one of the suggestions of firefox). I do understand that the way it is now means more flexibility, but having a media player browser plugin installed by default means that you have a fully usable system earlier. Maybe it is an idea to let the user choose at installation or at first run of firefox? -----Original Message----- From: John Vivirito <[email protected]> Sent: vrijdag 27 maart 2009 23:41 To: [email protected] Subject: [Bug 349923] Re: firefox has no media player installed by default If i misunderstood please let me know ** Changed in: gnash (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist ** Changed in: gnash (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: gnash (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: firefox-3.0 => gnash -- firefox has no media player installed by default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/349923 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. -- firefox has no media player installed by default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/349923 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
