I have this exact same problem, I am running apt-cacher version on jaunty server: apt-cacher_1.6.7ubuntu4_all.deb high cpu load for new version of apt-cacher. 99% cpu.
and downgrading to version: apt-cacher_1.5.5_all.deb Reverting to 1.5.5 puts the cpu load back at 5%. Repro Steps: install apt-cacher. run deboostrap against it. debootstrap --verbose --variant=buildd --arch i386 intrepid /var/chroot/intrepid http://blah:3142/apt-cacher/us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ Populates the cache. Run debootstrap again. monitor cpu with top. downgrade version. monitor cpu with top. -- apt-cacher high cpu usage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372940 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
