I've toyed a bit with packaging and built my own. I downloaded the karmic package "ttf-linux-libertine_4.4.1-1_all.deb" and replaced all .ttf files with the ones from the official website (see post above). Modified the m5dsum accordingly. My .deb also contains the Linux Biolinum font. The hack in the karmic "ttf-linux- libertine_4.4.1-1_all.deb" which created an alias in the .font.conf was removed, since no more necessary. The mysterious 'O' is no more, and it works great.
I'm quite an amateur for packaging, so feel free to post remarks about the package I built. May we learn something in the process. Still... Why the 'O' ? :D You will have to uninstall ttf-linux-libertine before installing my custom package. ** Attachment added: "ttf-linux-libertine_4.4.1-1ubuntu1_all.deb" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/28133892/ttf-linux-libertine_4.4.1-1ubuntu1_all.deb -- incompatible font name change between 4.1.8 and Hardy LTS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318551 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
