I think I have the SB1, it just says "Squeezebox" on it. Firmware version 40.
I did get it working with FLAC source (uncompressed over network), see 'this topic' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=17283). I'm still not sure why it's crashing when I try to transcode to MP3, but it's a less urgent issue now.
