It turns out that MikMod_Init fails on my server. It can't open the
sound device. Since it's only a server (no desktop) I may not have
compiled the necessary module to get audio to play on this machine.

Instead of using MikMod_RegisterAllDrivers I'd like to try to use
MikMod_RegisterDriver (); with either the stdout, pipe or nosound
driver but I have no clue how to create a pointer to the driver
information structure it requires in perl. Any suggestions?

I'll try and take a look at this over the next few days.
