ok it's stereo but 22Khz instead of 44.1 with a very low bit rate. Would it be possible for you to encode a song from one of your CD using the same parameters as this stream, put it in your music folder and just play it to see if it works? It'll probably sound horrible that bit rate is probably only good for voice, not songs, but I'm curious to know if you get the same garbled sound as from the stream.
I had problem with my converter until I set it to CD quality but I thought it was softsqueeze.
