Hello,

Yes PuTTY is the ssh client for windows. If you were under Linux you'd
simply use ssh.

looking at my putty configuration now. You only need to type in the IP
address of your linkstation, then click "open"

If ssh was setup properly on your linkstation it'll open a long box
saying that PuTTY is connecting to an unknown server it'll mention a
new fingerprint. Accept it. Then it'll ask "login as" type "root" press
enter, it'll as for a password type the new root password of your own
that you entered last night. you should now be loged into your
linkstation.
