While checking the song information displayed in the WEB interface for
my AAC files,
I noticed that there were some incosistencies. Sometimes the genre
showed up as the artist,
sometimes the album as the genre and some other things I can't summon
from memory.

After spending some time adding print traces to some of the MP4 file
parsing functions,
it became apparent that the code was reading the file tags and duration
properly. Still
the information displayed was incorrect and the songs would not play
due to "zero duration".

The traces I added also seemed to indicate that the file was being read
and parsed
AFTER the error about the duration being zero. It occured to me that
slimserver
must be getting the bad information form the database. Why it later
parses the actual
file I don't know.

So I ran a complete rescan of the database; selecting "Clear Library
and Rescan Everything"
in Server Settings/Rescan Music Library. Now it is displaying all the
correct information
for my AAC songs as well as playing them.

Perhaps some changes in the database format for MP4 file information
requires a full rebuild
when upgrading slimserver from 6.0.x to 6.2.x. I was not aware of it.

I hope this helps others that may have the same or similar problem.
