I should also add, that mplayer was complaining about needing to set max-user-freq=1024, as such:
Try adding "echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq" to your system startup scripts. So I also typed: sysctl -w dev.rtc.max-user-freq=1024 This did not seem to help, in fact it may have made it worse (meaning less reliable, unable to play for more than a minute or two). I also tried to change the slimserver-convert.conf cache sizes in the aforementioned from 128 to 256, which did not help. Any recommendations on what's best to do about the log error suggestions: Compiled with buggy version of gcc using advanced optimizations [try another rpm? or compile?] Your system is overclocked [system is NOT] Bug in LAME encoding [boing] -- ross_lindell ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ross_lindell's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2655 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18828 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
