Just to keep you up-to-date. I went into the CC interface and added
cams/FLAC as a share and made it executable. Then SlimServer found it
okay, but after a refresh, it would lose it again and the share would
be back at default. After doing that several times, it seemed to stick.
Thereafter, I looked in the CC folder from Windows Networking and saw
FLAC had been created at the same level as cams, and cams/FLAC was also
there. Both had the same content, so I deleted one, set SlimServer to
rescan and went to bed. Imagine my dismay to discover when I got up
this morning that both folders were empty. And naturally, I had deleted
all the FLACs from my Windows PC just before going to bed. So, back to
square 1 with the ripping again :(. I just tell myself I could have
been ripping for four weeks, rather than two, so it could be worse.

What I'm going to do now is used the home/shared folder as that seems
to work fine without any messing around. I should have just done that
in the first place, but I wanted to understand why it wouldn't do what
I wanted it to do and then make it do it.

I did the ls /home from Putty and it showed cams, lost+found and
shared. I guess CC creates lost+found itself. I have no idea how to see
what's in it though.

Ain't learning Linux fun!
