I take that back. When I 'ps-ef', I see slimserver running as a
process, but http://[server]:9000/ yields a black screen. And when I

as root, do..

netstat -anp|grep 9000

and post the results, I wonder if there is something else running on port 9000?

Black screen means something is doing something otherwise you would get a 'page not found' type error.
