Softsqueeze is a software version of the hardware player and therefore
uses the same ports and protocols as the Squeezeboxen.
Softsqueeze will not work with this solution. It needs the proper ports
opened in your router and directly forwarded to the machine running
slimserver. For security reasons you should use ssh tunneling instead.
Can you reliably connect with an exernal media player via the reverse
proxy address? I've always had the problem of slimserver going up to
100% CPU usage when connecting - never to recover again, even after
disconnecting.
