Many editors support ID3v2.4 headers, and that's all wonderful but it will force me to re-write every single byte of my MP3 collection. For 200G that's not only lengthy and tedious, it's technically stupid. The ID3v2.4 footers are provided to avoid exactly that problem. Using ID3v2.4 footers means that you're only re-writing the end of the file and is thus far safer. The MP3::Info library is now capable of reading such footers, but I've not found an editor to create them - I will no doubt be forced to write one at some point :-( -- gerph ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gerph's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1819 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24437 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
