Many editors support ID3v2.4 headers, and that's all wonderful but it
will force me to re-write every single byte of my MP3 collection. For
200G that's not only lengthy and tedious, it's technically stupid. The
ID3v2.4 footers are provided to avoid exactly that problem. Using
ID3v2.4 footers means that you're only re-writing the end of the file
and is thus far safer. The MP3::Info library is now capable of reading
such footers, but I've not found an editor to create them - I will no
doubt be forced to write one at some point :-(
