My sources.list has the same in it and 6.5b was found (and installed.) I used aptitude to install it, and it sorted out all the dependencies for me. To state the obvious, you must hit lower case u, to make it update and find the package list, and then sometimes you need to hit capital U to tell it to Upgrade packages (all packages that is(!) that need upgrading.) It just worked for me on Ubuntu Breezy Badger 5.10. I don't use any backports, BUT I do have these lines in my file: deb http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy universe deb-src http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy universe deb http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy multiverse deb-src http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy multiverse I added the multiverse ones myself incidentally. Anyway, I am waiting for a 6.3 release for Ubuntu/Debian as the 6.5b has issues with Artist browsing/searching (bug #3509) Hope that's some help. -- tricia ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tricia's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5895 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24183 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
