I am having the same problem. I just (1 hour ago) atp-got the slimserver software, started it, was told my player needed a firmware update, did that, reconnected my player to the server/network, then found out my collection is empty. (Now, that wasn't terribly unexpected since I just did a fresh install of kubuntu from a gentoo install.)
But now when I scan, I get the scanning message, and then a few seconds later, I look and see "Your music library contains 0 albums with 0 songs by 0 artists" which is not a good thing. Update the slimserver with the next nightly? Something else? If you need any log info, let me know and I'll post it. Permissions don't seem to be a problem. All dirs/files owned by john:musicgrp, and user slim is a member of musicgrp. Worked on the gentoo box just fine. Any help here is greatly appreciated. thanks, john -- jabster ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jabster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3215 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24771 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
