Wouldn't know. Never tried it backwards. Just use 'convert' all the time
at work to make FAT32 into NTFS.

No, it won't destroy the data doing it that way. Generally you'll get a
warning if it'll kill your data. Give it a try. I don't have a Windows
box handy.
