Thanks for the info. I see what it's doing, and I can use mysql-admin to look at the slimserver db structure now. Not that I want to mess with it, but it's nice to know what's going on in my server.
In fact, I like the way it's set up, so that slimserver doesn't need to be involved with the "main" db, so no user / permission issues.
