I want to install AlienBBC so I can listen to BBC, NPR and ABC (Australia). The instructions for AlienBBC don't look too hard, but as a Linux newbie I am unsure how to install MPlayer. Seems like a big complicated package for my little NAS.
I think the simple answer might best be: forget it. AlienBBC will need too much power to be run on a Synology. A wild guess, I know, but it just needs too much memory and CPU power for that kind of box. You might still try to achieve it, but I doubt it's worth the effort.
