Just for information: I run SB3, Slug with 500Gb HDD, slimserver 6.3.1 and 6000 Flac.
As reported, it works fine, without PC, low power, no noise. My wife can use this solution very easily. I used "nice" command to give high priority to Slimserver versus samba.
