directory (normally you pass this with an option), and uses it as a
configuration file for the mysqld instance it starts. Don't edit this,
it is overwritten every time. Instead, edit the file "my.tt" in the
SlimServer/MySQL directory and comment out the line
"inno_db_fast_shutdown=1". You'll get a warning in the log about
missing Inno_DB support but it starts anyway.

I guess an expert could comment on what effect this change may have.
For me it works but keep in mind that I have a small library.

You shouldn't disable InnoDB support. Please get a copy of MySQL that
supports InnoDB. All modern MySQL versions (4.1.x and above) support InnoDB
by default unless it was explictly compiled out.
