I don't think it is a version of Unslung - but it may be file related. Try the following but you will need a directory with a small number of audio files so that you know it will scan in a short time.
1. Delete the slimserver database .slimserversql.db (I think) 2. Delete the preference file .slimserver.pref 3. start slimserver with the following params ./slimserver.pl --d_scan --d_server 4. Once all messages have stopped - go to web a define Music folder to the folder with a small number of files. 5. Check the debug scan messages and see if any errors appear. 6.
