All old versions of slimserver are available at http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/. I don't think there were any compiled deb packages for PPC LinkStations back in 6.3 days.
For whatever reason, I've always had trouble with the deb packages on my LinkStation, and it's been easier to install via tarball.
