I recently upgraded my server from ClarkConnect 3.2 to 4.0.
While I generally prefer re-installation to upgrades, I have to say
that the upgrade precodure worked flawlessly, except for some of the
mail services I have configured on it (minor character set issue)

There are a few minor bugs that annoys me. Nothing serious, but the
webpage that administers running processes/services now confuse
SlimServers MySQL with the built-in one. And while SlimServer shows up,
it is listed as "not running" when it clearly is. And the stop/start for
SlimServer doesn't work either, so I have to revert to the command line
for that. None of these bugs were in 3.2.

Unless you really need some of the new features in 4.0, I would advice
you to wait until the bugs get fixed (4.1 ?), especially if you only
use it for SlimServer. Mine is also a firewall, NFS and Samba
fileserver, DNS and NIS server, webserver for several domains and
mailserver with virus scanning and spam filtering. Not bad on an old
600MHz Pentium-III box..

One thing that really irked me with CC 4.0 is the introduction of a
10-user limit. While not a practical issue for me, I find it a betrayal
of the ideas and ideals behind open source software.
