Well, I started from scratch following your script.
I did have to make i change and that was change anything that said
/hda/mnt/ to /mnt as hda does not exist on mine for whatever reason.
The device went through and rebooted.
But.. no slim on 9000.

I tried to start it manually and I get:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/mnt/slim-data# ./start-slim.sh
The following modules failed to load: DBD::SQLite DBI
XML::Parser::Expat HTML::Parser Compress::Zlib Digest::SHA1

To download and compile them, please run:
/mnt/slimserver/Bin/build-perl-modules.pl
