Trying to setup slimserver 6.5.x to play aac and alac files on Ubuntu Dapper.
Approach 1 - mplayer The only mplayer I can install successfully is pre7try2. The new .deb packages fail on a lot of dependencies even with universe/multiverse/debian-multimedia stable testing and unstable repositories .. will this need patching for alienbbc issues? .. should I compile from source? with an external faad library to get 2.5? Approach 2 - faad2 2.5 + alac decoder I also can't get 2.5 to compile .. I don't understand the autoreconf and/or sed instructions. any suggestions? FWIW, it was much simpler to just compile mplayer from source from my PPC Linkstation. It seems harder to get the setup working with my server Ubuntu installation -- bupkes ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bupkes's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4446 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28691 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
