Presumably the required libraries aren't 'installed' in the standard library
sort path?
I'm not sure if static versions of the libraries exist do they? If they do,
then I guess it's just a question of changing the linker options.
If anyone can let me know what needs to be done to achieve this, then I can
add it to the Makefile as appropriate.
