It might be worth checking port 9000 is open and 'listening' on your server...
Login with PuTTY and enter: netstat -a You will get a list of all network connections and it should report that *:9000 has a state of "LISTEN": tcp 0 0 *:9000 *:* LISTEN When a connection is made with SlimServer it should also show something like this: tcp 0 0 Black-Box.home.lan:9000 192.168.0.2:3193 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 Black-Box.home.lan:9000 192.168.0.2:3192 ESTABLISHED (This is when I've logged onto SlimServer via my PC's browser) If you can see the port listening but still can't connect I'd guess it was something blocking access on your network. -- mick_w http://freespace.virgin.net/mick.webb/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mick_w's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6526 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28638 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
