The question is: Before I go off and buy a card does anyone know of a
PCI card which will work with FC6 without to much driver/install
issues.

I assume that Fedora has a hardware compatibility list. I run Mandriva
on most of my boxes, and SuSE on the other, so I'm not current on Fedora.
But to reinforce what Mitch wrote. Using wireless twice, from server to
WAP and from WAP to SqueezeBox is not ideal. You are much better off
putting your Shuttle/SlimServer near your Wireless Access Point, or
close enough that you can run some CAT5 cable to it.
I do run wireless to my casual SqueezeBox, but my Transporter has
a nice cable plugged into a 100baseT switch, which is next to my
SlimServer box.
YMMV, etc.
