Thanks for the feedback. I should have mentioned that I'm already running Slimserver on a FC box with ext3 file systems, and have been for a couple of years, without experiencing any performance issues. It's just that I'm getting ready to put in a new hard drive and was curious if any other file system might be better than ext3. If I understand correctly, xfs and jfs are more efficient for using partition capacity. So, if some performance increase could be had, along with increasing capacity, without introducing any issues I'd be interested in trying it out. -- soxfan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ soxfan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5697 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32134 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
