I had a working Windows XP Slimserver system - so it was really more for the fun of it that I have tried to set-up a Linux server instead.
I chose Ubuntu Server (6.10)- installation of Ubuntu and Slimserver all worked fine, setting up Samba to copy my Apple lossless files and copying them worked as well, scanning the music no problem. However, when I try to play any song, I get the following error message: "Can't open file for: nnnn" (where nnn is the song title). I originally suspected some file/directory permission problem, but then the music scan shouldn't have worked in the first place (and just to be sure I set 777 with no effect). I am clueless - any ideas what I can do to find out what causes this problem? Thank you. teq -- teq ------------------------------------------------------------------------ teq's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8266 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34265 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
