You still need to create a local mountpoint on your server that
Slimserver can access.  I don't know whether CC includes a Samba
client, but if not (or if you like *x purity), you could use NFS on the
Infrant (I'm pretty sure CC includes an NFS client by default).  

Disclaimer: my Linux/Unix is very rusty and fortunately I remembered
enough to get my SS (running on Ubuntu) to access my Infrant-hosted
music by creating a mountpoint for my SMB network volume.  I have still
to figure out how to automate this (entry in fstab? script?), but I
dimly recall that at one time there was a caution about using fstab to
effect nfs mountpoints.  Dunno if that's still true.

I have to say I didn't find the SD wiki all that useful in making
progress, so you might want to search the forums for keywords like
"nfs", "mount", "fstab", and the like.
