OK, here's what I think is happening: 1) It is indeed a bug that the slimserver.logrotate file does not include the line "weekly". The default of daily makes no sense. I'll open a bug and provide a fix if no one else does. 2) The reason that it takes 2 weeks or so for the daily emails to start is the line "size 200k". It just takes some time before the log file gets that big. 3) If you still want to suppress the weekly anacron messages, there is probably a way to do it in /etc/anacrontab, but I'm not sure.
