I've chmod /home/slimserver to rwx with the same results. I could have my paths confused, switching between the various versions, each with their own problem; at least on my system. But I'm trying to be careful to avoid the current situation I'm in. I installed the 6.5.1 after the 6.3.1, and I agree something is out of place, I just don't know. I've been at this for about 2 weeks now to get even this far.
I'm pretty sure "6.5.1", the unslung.org version at http://homepage.eircom.net/~altondsl/slim/ss65_6.5.1-1_armeb.ipk stores the programs/data in /opt/share/ss65 and the logs and user selections in /home/slimserver. From what I can tell, version 6.3.1 seems to have all their files located in the /home/slimserver_v6.3.1 directory.
