I think I understand... You have a LinuxMint OS and somehow got the SS 6.3.0.
Did you add the Slimserver repositories that snarlydwarf mentioned? Or did you install from the official Ubuntu repositories? Ubuntu official is usually a different version than that available from deb http://debian.slimdevices.com/ stable main. I would first 'apt-get --purge remove slimserver' in a terminal. Maybe reboot...? Then either in a terminal or in Synaptic Package Manager (assuming that's in LinuxMint) add the Slimdevices repositories at snarly's suggestion, reload or apt-get update, then install 6.5.2 or 6.5.3 from 'stable' or 'main' respectively. If that doesn't work, find those '*slim*' files and clean up or even just maybe reinstall the whole shebang if your not that far into a new install... but that last resort seems a bit extreme. -- curly ------------------------------------------------------------------------ curly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5100 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36249 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
