The posted fix looks to be a patch to the file
/usr/share/perl5/Slim/Schema.pm
I didn't apply this as a patch but just added the line
sub mk_classaccessor { shift->mk_classdata(@_); }
to the Schema.pm file at about line 98 (after the "=cut" and before the
"sub init..."
