I have built around 10 Ubuntu 7.04 Server running slimserver nightly, and suddenly today I am getting the older version (which I can't get to run). This is on a fresh version of Ubuntu, with only Samba installed and configured. The instructions I am following come from the wiki and are as follows
Edit Sources.list sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list add: deb http://debian.slimdevices.com testing main CTRL-O to save Enter to verify file CTRL-X to exit sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get update (yes, twice) sudo apt-get install slimserver Each time I install I get the regular debian version (6.3.1, I think), which is pretty outdated and doesn't function correctly until I modify some directory rights. Anyone else having this issue. at first I thought it was a mistake I made, so I restarted the whole process from the ground up, and same result.
