I have a number of m4a files that stream to softsqueeze using these
commands (for wav or mp3):

mov mp3 * *
[faad] -w -f 1 $FILE$ | [lame] --resample 44100 -x --silent -q
$QUALITY$ -b $BITRATE$ -r - -

mov wav * *
[faad] -w -f 1 $FILE$

This works fine for some files with 44.1 kHz rates but when faad shows
the rate for some files as 22050 Hz the output for mp3 sounds like a
chipmunk with the audio at double speed!

If I stream directly as WAV, the 22050 Hz file plays fine.... is there
some limitation on what lame expects as the rate on a file from stdio
being piped from faad?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
