All connections go through the same combo router/WAP device. I also thought a firewall is disrupting things, but my admittedly novice poking through the network related control panels on the Ubuntu box didn't find anything obvious to change. If it is on, it is by default. Do you know where or how I can check ? And this begs the question of how the Slimp3 is getting through ? A SlimDevices tech support call was unable to fix the problem, but he thinks the unused ethernet NIC is competing with the wireless card leading to refused connection requests. I *think* that card is turned off however, looking at the network control panel. And again I keep scratching my head why the Slimp3 is not having the same problem. Does the Slimp3 ever initiate contact with the server, or is it always only answering ? -- EricGo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ EricGo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42299 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
