I've seen the ongoing threads about possible problems with the SC7
Debian package, and it wasn't clear to me if it was all resolved or
not.

I'm running a mid-January build of SC7 on Ubuntu gutsy 64-bit. I've
got my apt-get source set to the SC testing tree currently, but I plan
to switch that to stable once SC 7.0 is released. Anyway, I haven't
done any updates since January since those e-mail threads popped up.
My question is -- is it now safe to update, at least as far as anyone
knows? I may end up waiting for 7.0 to be released officially, since
it sounds imminent, but I wanted to find out if the Debian-specific
packaging issues had been resolved.

Sorry if this was communicated in the other threads and I missed it.
I tried to decipher them, but I admit some of it was beyond me in
terms of what the problems were.

Thanks!

Mitch
