I got the same thing as above, installed MySQL-server, and then got: [08-03-04 14:07:35.3521] Slim::Utils::MySQLHelper::createSystemTables (433) FATA L: Couldn't connect to database: [Can't connect to local MySQL server through so cket '/var/lib/squeezecenter/cache/squeezecenter-mysql.sock' (2)]
I'm on Mandrake 10.1 and was running 6.5 just fine. Installed over the top.
