I am having a problem - and maybe it is just me.

I am using Ubuntu 7.10, (and loving it,) and I am attempting to
download flac-encoded tracks from the linnrecords.com site that I have
purchased. I am using Firefox 2.0.0.12, with the flashgot plugin
installed. I have flashgot directing the download links to the Gwget
Download Manager.

If I simply use firefox to save directly to disk, it works of course,
and I get my flac file after each download. If however, I redirect the
link to the download manager, instead what gets downloaded is a .aspx
file! Ouch. I get this behavior with both Gwget and Kget-KDE4.

Is this a bug in the flashgot plugin, or what? Why are the links being
correctly handled by firefox, but the download managers cannot do it? I
have not tried the DownThemAll plugin - would that work better?

What are other Linux people doing to efficiently download a hundred
tracks from Linn Records, such as the JS Bach Mathew Passion?

By the way, I am finding that Gwget has other problems too, so I am a
bit frustrated. This "download manager" thing ought to just work - or
have I missed something?
