Squeezecenter does not use /usr/local/slimserver but a totally
different structure for its files.  If you have deleted
/etc/init.d/slimserver, then you should be able to install the
squeezecenter rpm.

If you are then happy with it you can remove /usr/local/slimserver in
its entirety.

You will have to set up squeezecenter from scratch, but it's worth it.
