The .deb didn't work. I think I also read that some where else on the forum. I've since tried the .tar.gz method and I do get problems with GD. I've tried the build-perl-modules.pl but I seam to get errors and it doesn't help. > > Downloading DBI-1.50.tar.gz to: /root/squeezecenter-7.0-17793 > Uncompressing.. > Configuring.. > /usr/bin/perl Makefile.PL > > I see you're using perl 5.008008 on powerpc-linux-gnu-thread-multi, > okay. > Remember to actually *read* the README file! > Use 'make' to build the software (dmake or nmake on Windows). > Then 'make test' to execute self tests. > Then 'make install' to install the DBI and then delete this > working > directory before unpacking and building any DBD::* drivers. It shows that I.m running perl v 5.008008. The requirements are for v5.8.3 or higher. Running $ perl --version shows that I'm running v5.8.8 built for powerpc-linux-gnu-thread-multi Any ideas? Just a note. I've installed squeezecenter onto my desktop machine via the slimdevices debian repository and it just worked. I wish the could package squeezecenter for powerpc. Is there any way of asking them to do this? -- jamesho ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jamesho's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=847 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47035 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
