Hi Dean, I had the same problem as you, and I realized that I wasn't using sun's JRE on hardy, bun OpenJDK. Running SoftSqueeze with: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/bin/javaws http://127.0.0.1:9000/html/softsqueeze/softsqueeze.jnlp allowed it to start normally. Then I had to manually setup the sound card in the settings panel to [plughw:0,0] otherwise it chose the wrong device. I don't think it's required, but I also installed the sun mp3 plugin (http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/mp3/download.html) (uncompress the zip file and copy the jar file with "sudo cp -i lib/ext/mp3plugin.jar /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/lib/ext/") Dominique -- domlc ------------------------------------------------------------------------ domlc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17470 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47240 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
