I'm having a similar problem with SoftSqueeze. My two Squeezeboxes play fine, but the SoftSqueeze (3.5) on my server is off tempo by a bit. Therefore it gets behind real fast. It is so bad that they can't be played together, and I can not tolerate the off tempo sound. iTunes plays the same lossless files fine (correct tempo) through the same DAC. But I'm on a PC, so it's not just limited to Linux/Unix
